Love Your Kitty With An Outdoor Cat House

Not everyone wants to have their cat live indoors with them. Cats can be messy animals if left indoors all the time: You have to worry about constantly cleaning up their hair, litter boxes and food strewn all over the house. Some of us far prefer to leave our feline outside to keep rodents from coming into the home and to save for the need to have a dirty litter box in our home. While a cozy corner in your front porch might be ideal for your cat; it’s just as good of an idea to provide them an outdoor cat house all to themselves.

Animals and humans both love to have a place to call home. Your cat will be much happier having a warm place that they can crawl into after hunting, or lounging under their favorite tree all day long. If you want your cat to protect your home from rats or mice, you can place an outdoor cat house near any vulnerable areas of the home where rodents might find their way in.

You can easily build your own custom outdoor cat house for your favorite kitty, or buy a premade one at affordable prices. It’s a good idea to make sure the house has a heat source if you live in an area where the temperature gets cold — either through the use of a heated blanket, or a heating element of some sort in the cat house. Your cat will literally love you for it.

If you’re going to allow your cat to roam freely outside your home; it’s your duty to have them spayed/neutered as having cats roaming around your community without an owner puts a strain on taxpayers (due to increased animal control costs) and can lead to the spreading of diseases to registered pets.
